A lot for both! See, pie and cupcakes can get along! Both are wonderful and yummy.:)Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12346128383895121743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8725035943025805254.post-54453195449172912152011-01-12T17:22:53.445-06:002011-01-12T17:22:53.445-06:00Growing up pies were for the holidays, and cupcake...Growing up pies were for the holidays, and cupcakes were for sharing with classmates on your birthday. Cupcakes were easy, but were as rare as pie in my family's home... cookies were the favorite. In my husband's home it was cheesecake.

I recently just made my first apple pie. It wasn't for any special reason really, it was just because my husband and I wanted to make one. It was a blast! I'm going to have to make another one soon. I wrote about my experience on my own blog http://lifeisnotadressreheasal.blogspot.comA Red Haired Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16165749313474464458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8725035943025805254.post-66189981146679943112011-01-11T16:40:45.134-06:002011-01-11T16:40:45.134-06:00I love pie AND cupcakes! Maybe it's my upbringing, because my mother loved pie. It seems her aunt, many years ago, had a pie shop. It was probably in the late '20s or early
'30s. Anyway, in the summer my mother sometimes had to help her aunt in the shop. It made her develop a love of pie that my sister and I absorbed. And I've married a pie lover--birthdays bring lemon meringue pie for him instead of cake. And I have one son who loves pie, too.

In fact thinking about pie has started me reminiscing, and I have many more happy pie memories than happy cupcake memories.

I wish I had some apples....I'd make a pie right this minute!marthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02876600155565051476noreply@blogger.com
