Many times I have wished houses could talk and tell their stories. You have given your house voice and told a part of its story. I know that it is a happy home as love lives there. When my mother left the old farmhouse, the only place my children and their cousins knew as their second home with Grandma and Grandpa, they ritualized their grief by creating a time capsule that they hid between attic rafters. It told their stories of hours spent showered in the love of their grandparents and the adventures of a farm. I hope my home will be filled with good energy from the love, laughter, celebrated holidays and food shared around tables, especially pie, when it becomes home for someone else. Thank you for sharing your house's story. Your latest post ...I am glad you are still writing. Your latest post fit so well with the country life I also enjoy with my wife. We also own an old farmhouse once belonging to my grandparents and then my father. I have owned it for more than 35 years and have been renovating it for as long. The house sits empty most of the time but honestly, it does not seem to mind. After almost 100 years it too shelters many stories, some good, some not so. Perhaps one day I will find inspiration to write them down. BillBill Jabashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00756121999509167765noreply@blogger.com
